I am originally from Chicago, USA and I first arrived in Chania on military orders, but I decided to stay here because of the community that I became a part of.
For now, Chania feels as like home and I love the fact that wherever I am in the municipality, adventure is never far away – at sea, up in the mountains, and in the city. Most of all I love the friendliness of its people. As a year round resident, I find beauty in all of Chania’s seasons – especially the brief but beautiful winter. When I am not working, you’ll find me out and about: hiking, diving, or simply exploring. In the summer, I’m usually on the beach or in the water. Winter, however, is an excellent time to take to the mountains and enjoy the gorges in the area.
