The Minoan port of ancient Aptera, with the interesting remnants.

Following the route to the north-east, heading to Akrotiri, one may encounter the ruins of the ancient roman Minoa city, which must have served as a haven of the Aptera city.
In the archaeological area, known as the little palace of Minos (even though it is not dated during that period), one will discover ancient baths and buildings that are assumed to have been related to an old port, a military establishment or a mansion of a dignitary.
Actually, on the beach, part of the semicircular wall still stands.
